*Against the injustice done to Unani System of Medicine in NCISM*
*NUMC's memorandum to the chairman and officers of AYUSH department*
An important meeting was held at Daryaganj, New Delhi under the aegis of All India Unani Medicine Congress(AIUTC). In the meeting it was decided to form a National Unani Medical confederation and bring together leaders of all Unani organizations from different parts of the country to raise their voice against the injustice being done to Unani .
A delegation led by Dr. S.M. H
ussain (President National health education society of India.
Mumbai) met NCISM President Vaidya Jayant Dev Pujari and raised his voice against the injustice done to Unani Medicine in NCISM (National Commission for Indian System of Medicine).
A memorandum was also given to Especially Vedia Rajesh Kotecha (Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH),
Prof. Aseem Ali Khan (Unani Adviser, Ministry of AYUSH) and
Dr. Mukhtar Qasmi (Joint Adviser).
After the submission of the memorandum, it was decided in the NUMC meeting that a copy of the memorandum may also be sent to the President of the Republic of India , the Chief Justice of India, And the Prime Minister of India.

Dr. Ejaz Ali Qadri (Lucknow).
The memorandum demanded that Unani medicine should be included with Ayurveda in the existing NCISM in the same way as Unani medicine was included with Ayurveda in CCIM or a separate board should be constituted for Unani medicine.
The memorandum states that the bias towards Unani medicine over the years is not entirely correct. The Department of AYUSH, Government of India should pay special attention to our demands and provide opportunities for the development of *UNANI* along with Other Indian medicine.
